Welcome to Novato Youth Football & Cheer!  We are a non-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt youth football and cheer organization dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of football and cheer to our youth as well as focusing on academics. We are a member of the AYF Mountain Valley Conference. Novato Youth Football and Cheer is very fortunate to have the many board members, coach volunteers, and parent volunteers that keep our program moving forward. Our partnership with the school districts, the two local high schools and generous sponsors allows us to provide our kids with the best fields, equipment and facilities. I encourage each of you to get involved in 2009!

MVL Championship 2009

hornet

We are proud to announce that the Stingers have made it to the final round of play-offs in Lathro

Though their struggle was valiant, the Yellow Jackets failed to advance. However, after a hard fought victory of 14-0 over the Southern Marin Broncos, the Novato Stingers are headed to Lathrop (just north of Manteca) to play the Lathrop Steelers on Saturday, November 21st at 3:00 PM.

Please remember that the MVLis charging $7 for adults and children 16 and up,
$3 for senior citizens and children 3-15, and children under 3 are free.

The boys are going to be playing as the home team on the opponent's field, so if you
can make the drive, they would really appreciate a loud, proud crowd to cheer them on. The team mom will have signs made up for everyone to wave, and we're going to bring all of our noisemakers, so join the crowd of Black and Gold
cheering the Stingers, not the Steelers, to victory. And remember, a victory on Saturday is the final hurdle to playing in the National AYF Championships in Orlando, Florida. Though we are only looking at sending one team, we are still looking at needing a lot of funds to be able to send them on. Email Carrie Cassee at
ccassee@comcast.net and give her your pledge of any amount. If the
team is victorious, we'll contact you to collect.

Novato Youth Football 2009
Stingers Need Your Support

Our boys have a very significant opportunity to advance to the American Youth Football National Championships in Orlando, December 5-12. Our chances are very high as we enter round 3 of the playoffs in a strong first place seed. We are looking forward to making you proud as we work toward winning a national title.
believe

Our success has not been made by one player alone or a streak of luck. We have won our games due to the teamwork the boys exhibit each and every week. Financially, it is a very significant challenge we face sending our 31 boys to Orlando. Times are tough for many and contributions to our league are down. Estimated costs to attend are approximately $1000.00+ per player.

It?s going to take teamwork to send all of our boys to Orlando and we hope we can count on your support. We do not want to have to leave a member of our football family behind due to a lack of funds.

Our timeframe is aggressive and we are sending this letter in advance of actually winning the invitation to Florida. However, we do think it is very possible that we will be going and we will have an extremely small window to raise funds.

We have provided an option for you to make a straight tax-deductible donation now or to pledge a donation when we win the championship on November 22.

Please Click Here to download Donation Letter and Form.

Voice Your Opinion Regarding The New Noise restrictions!!

We had no music or announcing and only limited visitos bleachers use at our last game due to the new draconian restrictions implemented by the NUSD School Board regarding field usage.

This Tuesday, October 27th, the NUSD will be hosting a special meeting regarding these new restrictions and voting if they will permenently apply them. You can make your voice heard bey attending the meeting that will take place at 5:00 PM at the NUSD Offices. Come early, as the meeting room is small.

Please check the NUSD website at www.nusd.org for more information on Board Meetings, Agendas, etc.

1_12 Greg Mack returns as Football Athletic Director
Good news for NYF&C is the return of Greg Mack as football Athletic Director. Greg departed NYF&C after is oldest son moved on to play football for Novato High School in 2005. To have “Mack’s” committment is wonderful and will really help NYF& C’s path in developing football and cheer for Novato’s youth.
